REVIEW**~**I Call Him Brady by K. S. Thomas

Born the only son to one of Hollywood’s most prominent power couples, Jack Cole’s life is damn near perfect. With women lining up to be with him, movie parts most seasoned actors would die for and the freedom to live above the rules, Jack’s life is going completely according to plan.

Until Embers…

Embers doesn’t have time to waste on any more dirt-bags. Too busy trying to take care of herself and her daughter to take any more chances on romance, she’s limiting her love life to daydreaming about one hot and sexy, Jack Cole.

Except her surefire way to keep her heart safe goes completely awry when her dream guy and her reality suddenly collide.

A master of recreating the human emotions he’s never allowed himself to feel, Jack must now deal with the consequences of offering his heart to someone who may be too scared to keep it.

**4 stars**

I Call Him Brady is a story about finding the right one, falling in love and knowing how to hold on to it. Love is never an easy road, with many twists and turns but it’s how you find your way that matters most.

For Jack Cole, love wasn’t easy. He’s a famous movie star and lived the Hollywood life. Jumping from bed to bed and never really finding himself. That’s is until he meets Embers.

Embers is completely different from anyone else he has ever met and doesn’t treat him like the Jack Cole…she treats him like Brady.

I don’t want to spoil too much but the Brady storyline is charming.

This is a sweet love story that I enjoyed reading.

I particularly liked the grand gestures of love in this book – it had me smiling and sighing.

If you are looking for a light read that has all the makings of a beautiful love story then this book is for you.

REVIEW**~**Fall into Forever by Beth Hyland

Ivy McAllister had it all. Perfect boyfriend. Perfect life. Perfect future. Or so they tell her. Because one night, on a dark country road, a fiery crash changed everything…and Ivy can’t remember what happened.

Now, two years later, at a new college far from home, she tries to regain control of her life, but her plans don’t include a tattooed, motorcycle-riding, indie music-obsessed guy with his own sorority girl fan club.

Jon Priestly is the hottest guy at Pacific State University. Just ask his groupies. But with a dark past he must keep hidden, he shuts himself off emotionally and trusts no one. That is…until he meets a broken girl with haunting green eyes and secrets of her own.

Ivy shouldn’t be attracted to Jon. They’re wrong for each other in every possible way. Yet as they spend time together, something about him—everything about him—feels so right.

But when threats from her past make her question what little she does remember, Ivy must decide whether to run again or trust the one person she can’t live without.

4 Stars

I really enjoyed this read! It had the perfect balance of what I look for in a read. Romance, drama, a bit of sizzle, a misunderstood guy and growth in life and love.

This read captured my attention and had me interested and invested in the two main characters lives.
Jon is the misunderstand “bad boy” and Ivy ( love this name) as the girl who just wants to focus on school and does not want anyone complicating that. Well enter Jon and that makes Ivy’s life and goals flip.

The characters have nice chemistry and are real. They are going through realistic issues and I like that! I wanted and enjoyed being on their journey with them.

There are some interesting elements that come into play that add to the story. I liked how the author didn’t give anything away to quickly – it felt realistic the pace she lead us on.

The secondary characters were fun too! I wish there had been a bit more with Cassidy and Touch- I felt like I was left  hanging there.

Overall a great read!

This book is bitch approved by me 😉

3.5 stars

Love Show is a story about how a couple in their last year of college meet under interesting circumstances and develop a relationship. its not an easy relationship simply because the heroine has rules that she establishes for her life and love is not one of them.

Our heroine is Hadley. I really wanted to like her but she came across as selfish and narcissistic at times. She is described as career driven, but I felt she acted more like a girl who pushed away the possibility of love because she was to caught up in what she wanted. She wasn’t able to let her self love or be loved. Not that it should matter, I have read books with this same premise, but it was almost too much. It made it hard for me to connect with  her.

Hadley meets Jack and I instantly liked him. He was laid back but caring. He showed Hadley how good they could be together but the rules she make in regards to their relationship makes it a challenge.
I have to say there were moments that I liked their chemistry. They had great back and forth banter and that kept me entertained. However, I was sad that their wasn’t enough heat in this one. Not that I need a knock your socks off sex scene, but I think you can add some imagery to help you feel their connection on a higher level.

There are several supporting characters that I enjoyed reading about. Her roommate David was a great addition and his story line kept me interested an invested.

***Spoiler Alert ***

In my opinion the story wrapped up too fast. She went off for her career, she comes home and then they end up getting their HEA. It felt forced to me. I wish I had heard Jack’s side of the story and how he felt with Hadley’s decisions.

This was an ok read for me. There were some parts I wished for more but the secondary characters and their storyline kept me invested.

REVIEW**~**Crossing Paths by Melanie Stinnett

The crossing paths of friendship, family, love, and loss are often complicated.

June Deckert and Caroline Smith sparked a friendship in college that carried them through graduation. Although they are complete opposites in every way, they have spent the last four years inseparable.

That is, until now.

June finds herself falling for a man who seems unattainable. As she works side by side with him on a new media campaign, their feelings for each other come alive. But when his actions start to speak louder than words, she wonders if she’s missing something.

Meanwhile, Caroline is fighting against her feelings for a recent acquaintance, and she decides to keep her new love interest a secret from June. Overwhelmed by these new emotions, her moods change swiftly, swinging up and down like a yo-yo.

While June and Caroline try to maneuver their way through new relationships, Caroline starts lying to June to protect her from a truth that threatens to break her heart and tear them apart.

In the end, Caroline’s deceit will test their friendship, and June will have to decide if her chance at love is worth putting her heart on the line.

4 stars

“I know now, in this moment, that my path has led me here for a reason- to fond a place of healing where a second chance at love is possible.”

Crossing Paths is a beautiful story about how people that cross our paths in our lives can change them forever.  I was intrigued with this story right from the beginning. As the story progressed the idea of how people come into our lives had me wondering about my own path. That’s when I knew I would enjoy this story.

This story is about four people, June, Caroline, Cohen and Liam.  June and Caroline are best friends and we get to see their points of view as well as Cohen and Liam’s.  Their lives cross paths and that is where the sorry takes off. It’s amazing how people come into our lives when we need them most and change them for the better.

I don’t want to spoil the story, but this is a love story and its written in a unique way. We get to see glimpse of how the men feel and it adds more substance to the story.

This book does not have sex in it but some loving moments. I didn’t really miss it because it is so tender and sweet.

Ms. Stinnet does a excellent job describing the character feelings and emotions. I could’t picture everything clearly in my head and the writing flowed nicely.

Some quotes I loved include –

“I knew I couldn’t let you walk away again. You might not believe it, but I know you crossed my path that day for a reason.”

“I know that when I looked into your eyes, I saw something that made me believe in taking a chance.”

Crossing Paths is about taking a chance with the people that enter our lives at random times and following the path wherever it may lead.

This bitch loved this sweet and touching story.
