Crossing The Line
Wyatt Conner is a hard man. A sixth generation sheriff in his hometown of Garnet. A former MMA fighter. His life is about following the rules and making sure everyone else in Garnet follows them too.

Before life hurt him, Wyatt was different. Love had once blinded him to his upbringing and made him defiant against anyone who tried to separate him from the girl he loved. He easily broke laws to ensure her safety.

When she left it destroyed him. Now she’s back.

Tabitha knew coming home was a mistake, but family obligation demanded it. She wasn’t expecting to run smack into the love of her life the same day she returned.

Despite the danger, Tabitha is powerless against the wild rush of desire that explodes between them the moment she finds herself in Wyatt’s arms again. She needs a second chance too, but she can’t risk Wyatt finally discovering the real reason she left.

Even for another taste of true love.

Tabitha knows her haunted past will destroy both of them if Wyatt finds out. What she suffered through was too terrible and it’s the one thing that will have him crossing the line for revenge.

What can I say except that I am so glad I read this story!!!!  This book is the third book in the Battered Hearts series.  It is Wyatt and Tabitha’s story.  This book was so different from the others in the series.  We got so much more then just a love story.  We got the history of all the main characters of this series.  I wasn’t expecting that, but I will say I was thrilled to get all of the back story.  I loved that we got to see Tabitha and Wyatt from the start and how Wyatt, Tabitha, Clay and Juliet met and became friends.  This was more then just a boy meets girl love story this was a friends to lovers love story that showed how it stood the test of time.  My only real complaint regarding this book was that I felt the history part of the book could’ve been shortened or condensed a little bit.  I just thought some of the information we got we really didn’t need to make the story complete.  It slowed the pace of the story down for me.  With that said though, I still thoroughly enjoyed this book.

I loved Wyatt from the start back in book 1, so I was totally excited to read his story.  This book didn’t disappoint when it came to his character.  Wyatt was something of a gentle giant and would do anything for the ones he loved.  I truly enjoyed watching him grow up and become the man he was in the end.  I was also great see Juliet and Clay grow as well.  Clay, Juliet and Wyatt were what sucked me into this series, but the secondary characters that have been added over the course of the 3 books have been great as well.  I love Romeo and his brothers Nova and Tino.  I can’t wait to read more about their family.  Tabitha was also another great character.  I felt so sorry for her throughout this whole book.  At least until the last 30% of the book….then things at least started to look up for her.  She was such a broken soul.  The stuff she suffered through at the hands of her mom, Brett and Vaughn, was just awful.  What she endured would’ve broken anyone.  I was glad to see that she came out stronger in the end.  I can’t say to much more about the past with these characters because it would ruin to much of the story.

I would definitely recommend this story/series to anyone looking for a great MMA love story.  You could probably read these books as stand alones but I wouldn’t suggest it because there are recurring characters and you need to know about each of them.  If you have already read the other 2 books in this series, then I would say you don’t want to miss this one either.  This book really filled in a lot of the missing details from the other books.  It explains so much!!!!!!!
