Worth the Fight -It's Live
It didn’t matter that the ref called it a clean hit. Nico Hunter would never be the same.

Elle has a good life. A job she loves, a great apartment, and the guy she’s been dating for more than two years is a catch and a half. But it’s boring…and she strives to keep it that way. Too many emotions are dangerous. Her own past is living proof of what can happen when you lose control.

Then Nico walks into Elle’s office and everything changes…for both of them. But what can the tattooed, hard-bodied MMA fighter and the beautiful and always steady attorney have in common? A lot more than they bargained for.

So let me ask you….do you like a man who has tattoos and is a bit of an Alpha Male….and is also a MMA fighter??  Well if you answered yes to this question then you need to meet Nico Hunter.  This is my 4th MMA fighter book and I have to say I think I love this type book.  Every one I have read has left me with a smile on my face and Worth the  Fight was no different.  I loved this book.  I devoured it in less then a day.  Once I started I had a really hard time putting this book down.  I really liked the storyline of this book.  This book is about learning to forgive ones self and learning to love and let others in.

Nico and Elle were two very similar people on the inside.  This story showed how two people, who on the outside look like they don’t belong together, can actually have quite a bit in common.  Elle had a tragic event happen in her childhood, that left her broken and damaged.  She feels what she did was unforgivable, even though what she did was actually quite heroic. ( You’ll understand once you read the book )  Well over the course of the years Elle has decided to lead a very “safe” lifestyle and not let anyone get to close to her.  She has a great job, some close friends ( but not too close ) and a man that is a great friend that has some benefits on the side.  Everything is pretty safe and boring in her life….That is until she meet Nico “The Lady Killer” Hunter.  He turns her world upside down.  The minute they meet you can feel their attraction and chemistry.  Nico is also a broken and damaged person.  He also endured a very tragic accident about 18 months prior and has never been the same since.  That is until he goes into a meeting and meets Elle.  Both of their worlds change that day.  I loved how the author developed their relationship.  You could totally feel their intense attraction, but it wasn’t an insta-love situation.  It was very well written, making their feelings and relationship very believable and genuine.  This story also showed how both Elle and Nico become each others rocks.  Once both of their secrets come out things start to look up for them.  That is until Nico fights again and retreats back into himself.  My heart was breaking to see how he blamed himself for the past.  It was great to see these two grow as individuals and as a couple.

This story really didn’t have any stand out secondary characters.  Yes there were other people in the story but they all kind of blended into the background and lended support to Elle and Nico when it was needed.  I really liked that this story focused on Nico and Elle and everything they needed to overcome.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a great love story with a strong female lead character and a HOT Alpha Male character.  This book will have you laughing, smiling, crying, yelling, and of course blushing.  This author definitely knows how to write a steamy scene.  I thought my kindle was going to melt a couple times 🙂  Pick this book up… won’t be disappointed!!!!!
